2025 Official ATV Rodeo Rules

Logan County Fair

Safety/Eligibility:
1. No person under the age of 16 will be allowed to compete.
2. Each rider will sign a waiver that includes an emergency contact in case thereof.
3. No alcohol or drugs of any kind are allowed in the pits or parking areas adjacent to pits. Any person
who appears to be impaired or in possession of alcohol/drugs will not be allowed to compete. Their
registration will be forfeited.
4. Each rider must be equipped with and wear an appropriate D.O.T. approved helmet while operating
their vehicle.
5. Seatbelts will be required in all side by side vehicles. Driver’s must wear seatbelts while in arena.
6. Each rider will wear boots or closed toe shoes. No sandals or flip-flops.
7. Each rider is eligible to enter multiple events and divisions if and when appropriate.
8. ATV rodeo officials will have the final determination on what is a utility verses sport vehicle and the
division in which it will compete. Any non-compliance to the principals of this event will result in
immediate disqualification of the participant; subsequent expulsion from the fairgrounds and all fees
will be forfeited.
9. No vehicles shall be equipped with paddles, chains or spikes. No nitrous or nitro methane will be
used. Inspections could be at any unannounced time by ATV officials.
10. No passengers will be allowed in vehicles.
Riders Conduct:
1. All Riders shall conduct themselves in a respectful manner.
2. Riders must be always in control of their vehicle(s). If a rider is reckless or lacks control, officials may
disqualify each participant.
3. Riding is allowed ONLY between pits and each specified event. Speed limit is 5-10 MPH when not
participating in an individual event in the pits or in route to a specific event or inspection.
4. Absolutely NO pit riding.
Track Rules:
1. All riders MUST attend the rider’s meeting before the competition can begin.
2. We reserve the right to rework the course at any time during the event.
3. When registering for events, the individual must select their class. The officials reserve
the right and may place participants in a class they determine is best for fair competition.

4. Helmet must be strapped on before operating any vehicle.
5. Operator must stay on their machine during a run, dismounting from the vehicle terminates the run
unless otherwise instructed by an official.
6. No burnouts will be allowed in the pits or between the staging area.
7. After completing a run, riders will immediately exit to the pit area.
8. Once a rider enters the staging lanes, there will be no exiting.
9. Timer starts and stops with crossing the start/stop line following directions from the track official.
Failure to follow directions from the track official may lead to disqualification.
10. In case of breakdown, each rider is responsible for hooking the towrope to his/her vehicle; all
damages incurred while in the pits or while competing are the sole responsibility of the rider and no one
else.
11. Knocking over a barrel or cone, or any course infraction will result in a time penalty for each
violation as determined by the track official.
12. We reserve the right to combine classes. The number of participants in each class is at the discretion
of the track official.
13. Unsportsmanship conduct will not be tolerated. Any display of profanity or unacceptable behavior
may result in disqualification. A participant or spectator may be escorted off the fairgrounds and will
forfeit any fees paid.
14. All participants agree to compete in a fair manner and will follow the rules.

Pit Gates open at 5:00 P.M. Registration ends at 6:30 P.M. Advanced registration encouraged!! Riders
Meeting at 6:40 P.M. Competition Starts at 7:00 P.M.
Entry Fee: $20/rider/vehicle
Events: Barrels, Poles,
Payouts
($250/division - $1000 overall) Entry Fees will be added. Trophy for winners.

2. Sport 4-Wheeler
3. Utility Side by Side (Polaris Ranger/Kawasaki Mule Style)
4. Sport Side by Side (Polaris Razer/General Style)

Event Description (all patterns will be posted on site as well):
Barrel Race/Poles:
Upon crossing the start/stop line with the direction of the track official, the contestant will move
through the barrels or poles in a uniform and prescribed pattern. If the contestant breaks the pattern,
they will be disqualified. A ten (10) second penalty will apply for every barrel or pole that is tipped over.
Time will end when the rider has successfully completed the pattern and crossed the start/stop line.
